With support from the Canadian Agricultural Partnership, AG Consulting is delivering a series of cost of production workshops for meat and vegetable producers. These workshops are aimed at helping farmers develop tools and production costing skills for various crops and livestock production to improve the efficiency and profitability of their farms. Optional one-to-one consulting with the workshop facilitator will be available, at additional cost, to a limited number of participants.
1) An introduction to and evaluation of various production cost record keeping tools, for example, Tend, COG Pro, VeggiTables, AgSquared, Seed to Harvest, Farmbrite.
2) Presentation and facilitation of cost of production exercises as working group activities. Material review, working group comparison and workshop evaluation.
3) Optional two hours of one-to-one coaching is available, either in person, by email or by phone in 30 or 60 minute increments, within two weeks following the workshop. Post-workshop coaching costs $100 per operation.
