Memory Quilts by Marnie opened in early 2017. The business was born from a hobby and a passion to offer a very unique service—give people a means to bring their memories out in the open, so they are no longer buried in a box or a closet somewhere.
Quilts have a long standing history of symbolizing love, joy and comfort. A memory quilt, in my opinion, is a notch above the traditional quilt, as it truly speaks to the essence of a person. It can be especially meaningful when someone has experienced the loss of a loved one. I work with almost all types of clothing and fabric items. It is also possible to combine the different types and weights of fabrics. Each memory quilt is custom designed, and new fabrics can be utilized in the design, if required.
